About DG Shipping Approved Medical Examiners
The Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India, authorises specific medical practitioners to conduct maritime medical fitness examinations. Only examinations conducted by a DG Shipping approved medical examiner are valid for obtaining or renewing a seafarer's medical fitness certificate.
